This course teaches the student how to use the advanced ACMS options such as queuing, thorough use of workspaces, complete overview of the use of logical name tables, argument passing between tasks, procedures and form interfaces.
PREREQUISITES:
Students should be familiar with OpenVMS, and the ACMS TP architecture.
AGENDA:
Students will learn about the following ACMS options:
Queuing
Use of workspaces
Complete overview of the use of logical name tables
Argument passing between tasks
Procedures and form interfaces.
The SI and RI interface components.
Memory management,
The use of global pages and global sections as work spaces
The use of system service calls.
There is a discussion period where student can exchange application design ideas.
