COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course teaches the student how to install and configure the messageQ middleware product from
BEA Systems Inc. in the VMS, UNIX, Windows/NT and Windows 9x environments. The course also teaches the student how to manage the
messageQ middleware product on the same platforms with a heavy concentration on the differences of each platform as well as the common issues to all platforms.
The course teaches the student to use all the tools necessary to administer messageQ
on the platform of choice.
Additionally, the course teaches the student the basics of DECnet and TCP/IP communications protocols with an emphasis on troubleshooting and system management of the
messageQ product when using these protocol suites.
Course Pre-Requisites:
The student should be familiar with the operating system of choice, as this course does not cover any operating system basics.
The student should be familiar with system management in the operating system of choice as the course builds up on this knowledge.
