COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course teaches the student the basics of CLIENT/SERVER messaging and distributed application design using the
messageQ middleware product from BEA Systems. It also teaches the student how to use the products Application Programming Interface (API). By the end of the course the student will have written a
messageQ SERVER that uses the major components of the middleware product. The course teaches the student how to use the ATTACH, LOCATE, GET and PUT API commands. It also provides extensive coverage of the message recovery procedures.
The course also teaches the student how to use the different tools available within
messageQ to create the student applications. The following are some of the tools covered:

The MONITOR program. |

TEST program. |

The messageQ
script language. |
The student will be provided with a computer system using the operating system of choice between VMS, UNIX or NT.
Course Pre-Requisites:
The student should have the following knowledge:
The communications protocol for the platform of choice.
Be able to program in a language in the platform of choice.
Be able to use system functions or system calls in the platform of choice.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is intended for IT personnel that is charged with creating, managing and designing 3Tier CLIENT/SERVER applications using a middleware product. |
