COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course teaches the student how to use the advanced DECmessageQ API and gives the student ideas on how to combine the instruction set in the API to create applications that will be more robust in the networking environment where they are going to be created and executed.
The student will be taught how to use the following:

How to use and program the servers available on each platform. |

How to use the link management calls used to discover link problems or potential problems. |
|
How to use the AVAILABLE server calls used to find where actual connections exist. |
|
How to use the SBS server to broadcast messages to multiple receivers. |
|
How to use the MRS to control recovery services handle message sets. |
The course will also offer a discussion period where students can exchange application design ideas.
Course Pre-requisites:
The student should have a basic knowledge of DECmessageQ
